Germany is one of the most attractive places for foreign direct investments. The reasons are abundant: a large market in the middle of Europe, well-connected to its neighbors and markets around the world; top-notch research institutions; a high level of industrial production; world leading manufacturing and technology companies; full employment; and economical and political stability.
There are no substantial restrictions on new foreign investments, currency controls, or administrative controls on such investments. Foreign investors are subject to the same conditions as German investors when obtaining licenses or building permits, or applying for and receiving investment incentives. Germany also has well-functioning capital and financial markets surrounded by an efficient and robust legal and regulatory system and environment.
KPMG’s U.S. International Corridors network of local and in-country professionals collaborates with organizations serving companies that are investing and doing business in the region to provide our clients insights and assistance in gaining local knowledge and developing success strategies.
