Tom Dowd has over 20 years’ experience working with federal and commercial clients to develop and execute strategy, transform business operations, and implement technology solutions. As a Principal with KPMG, he leads its Federal Healthcare Sector serving the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and Military Health accounts where he works with KPMG industry and service leaders to deliver solutions to clients focused on solving their most pressing business and technology challenges. He leads a team of healthcare policy, health insurance, clinical transformation, technology, and finance professionals to help health agencies plan for and respond to regulatory changes; implement key health and social services programs; optimize back office functions; and apply innovative technology solutions. Prior to KPMG, Tom served in various leadership roles at other large consulting firms where he was responsible for building and leading healthcare practice areas, executing market development strategies, leading teams, and overseeing delivery efforts for federal healthcare clients. He has spoken on topics including market strategy and development, collaboration, and recently contributed to an industry article on the benefits of intelligent automation in healthcare. Tom holds a Masters degree in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from LeMoyne College.
