Blair Nimmo

Blair is Global Head of Insolvency and Head of Restructuring, KPMG in the UK. Blair has many years of experience in advising businesses of all sizes, as well as working with key stakeholders in a variety of situations. In addition to his UK role, Blair also leads the Scottish Restructuring team and is regularly involved in advisory remits, sales processes and formal insolvency work across a range of sectors.

Alison Camp
Alison Camp

Alison joined KPMG’s Restructuring practice in 1998 and is a Chartered Accountant and qualified insolvency practitioner. Alison specialises in advising companies which are facing financial and cash flow difficulties, dealing with business rescues and accelerated transactions, and in implementing and managing corporate insolvency processes. Alison works in all sectors, having experience in assisting a diverse range of corporate entities of all sizes located across Scotland and the rest of the UK.

Tony Friar
Tony Friar

Tony joined KPMG in 1984 and has specialised in Restructuring and Insolvency work since 1989. Tony is a licensed insolvency practitioner and advises businesses of all sizes and their stakeholders across all sectors on turnaround and insolvency related matters.

Stuart Dougal
Stuart Dougal

Stuart has nearly 30 years’ experience in helping individuals and business owners through financially distressing times and often involves others in his vast network of contacts to assist. Getting the right advice for the client is Stuart’s key driver. Stuart works across all sectors with a focus on small independent businesses.

Alistair McAlinden
Alistair McAlinden

Alistair has 13 years’ experience in restructuring and leads our Edinburgh team. Alistair has a wealth of turnaround and restructuring experience across businesses of all sizes working for a variety of stakeholders (including Lenders and business owners). Alistair’s specialisms include the Hospitality and Leisure sector, Defined Benefit Pension Scheme covenant work and Solvent Restructuring.

Tracey Milne
Tracey Milne

Tracey joined the Restructuring team in 1999, having previously worked with a mid-tier firm of chartered accountants. Tracey is highly experienced in dealing with a range of formal insolvency processes and specialises in advising companies experiencing creditor pressure and cash flow difficulties. Tracey has experience of working in many sectors and has dealt with businesses of various size and scale but particularly enjoys working on construction assignments.

Geoffrey Jacobs
Geoffrey Jacobs

Geoff, a Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner joined KPMG in 1994 and has been a director since 2011 when he was appointed Head of Aberdeen restructuring, KPMG. Geoff has extensive experience in assisting underperforming companies and their stakeholders during times of stress, as well as undertaking formal insolvency appointments. Geoff has significant experience across many sectors.

Allen Munro
Allen Munro

Allen joined KPMG in 2008 and is a chartered accountant and is a qualified insolvency practitioner. Allen specialises in assisting companies who have cash flow challenges with cash management, financial projections, stakeholder management, business rescue and accelerated transactions. Based in our office in Aberdeen, Allen has experience across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on oil & gas.

James Dewar
James Dewar

James is a Chartered Accountant within KPMG’s Restructuring team in Scotland, which he joined in 1999. He works with directors and stakeholders of underperforming companies to develop and implement solutions in stressed, distressed and insolvent situations. He is a qualified insolvency practitioner and works across a number of sectors with specific interests in property, retail and financial services.
