David joins KPMG Enterprise from BDO where he was an audit partner and national head of leisure.   In addition to managing a large team, he also led a portfolio of dynamic and fast growing clients, specialising in restaurants and bars and other consumer markets.

David will build on KPMG’s existing presence in the leisure and hospitality sector and will use his significant experience to work with privately owned and PE backed businesses in the bars and restaurants space.

Commenting on his appointment, Ben McDonald, UK Head of KPMG Enterprise, said:“David has an impressive background working with mid-market businesses in a range of sectors, and is best known as a leading authority in the casual dining market. He will be a brilliant addition to our growing team of Enterprise specialists.  He brings with him broad expertise, energy and an impressive track record, having worked with some of the best known and most successful brands in the business. We are delighted to have David on board.”

David Campbell added:

“I am really excited about the prospect of joining KPMG Enterprise, which is a dynamic and ambitious part of the firm.  There are number of issues affecting the leisure sector right now, in particular how Brexit could impact consumer spending, cost inflation and the supply of workers to hotels, bars and restaurants. I have been impressed with how KPMG as a firm is working with its clients around the Brexit issue.  I am confident that together we can build on the impressive reputation that KPMG Enterprise already has in the market, and I am looking forward to bringing the full range of KPMG’s services to many more exciting businesses to help them achieve their growth ambitions.”

David Campbell’s appointment with KPMG Enterprise comes on the back of six new partner hires in the last 18 months and a number of other investments as the firm looks to increase its market share with privately owned and PE backed mid-market companies.
