Tim West joins from Old Burlington Ventures and was previously in board-level roles at Babcock & Brown and iShares.  His position at KPMG is newly created as a result increasing client demand for support with business transformation and strategy.  Tim will lead a team of consultants, and work closely with Richard Clarke, Head of Investment Management, and Phil Smart, Head of Insurance.

Tim West, Partner, Head of Investment Management Consulting, KPMG UK, said: “This is a revolutionary time for the asset management sector, companies need to make a lot of changes to remain relevant to digital savvy consumers and that change needs to happen within the confines of very pressured margins. Back office operations need to be smarter and products need to be much more aligned with the customer journey. I look forward to helping our clients and stakeholders achieve that and compete in the changing world of investments.”

Commenting on his appointment, Richard Clarke, Head of Investment Management, KPMG UK said: “Tim brings first-hand experience of leading operations at investment firms so he’s perfectly placed to understand the pressures and opportunities facing our clients. He also bring a host of ideas about how the industry will look in the future which will prove invaluable in helping clients build futureproof processes and products. The whole team is excited about working with Tim."
