Professional services firm KPMG has announced a trio of new partner appointments to its Manchester office, as Craig Wright joins the firm from BDO LLP and Steven Heath and John Moth are promoted.
Wright joins KPMG as a partner specialising in internal audit, risk, compliance and advisory services. With more than 17 years’ experience, Wright arrives from BDO where he was the firm’s national head of risk and advisory services and supported a range of clients including major corporates, regulators, funding bodies and management teams.
Wright has a broad range of expertise in supporting businesses across a variety of sectors, from automotive to technology, and retail to manufacturing. His previous work has included setting up internal audit functions and delivery of assurance frameworks, through to implementing and reviewing strategic and operational risk management and corporate governance arrangements.
Heath, who began his career at KPMG’s Preston office in 1995, has been promoted to partner. He leads the firm’s deal advisory tax team in the North, Midlands and Scotland, working with a group of more than 15 professionals specialising in tax aspects of transactions. Heath has significant experience in advising clients on tax due diligence projects, acquisition structuring and IPOs and works with many of the region’s mid-market private equity houses, such as NorthEdge. In 2011, he completed a secondment to Endless LLP.
Moth, who has been promoted to partner in the transaction services team, joined KPMG in 2002. He has advised on a range of high-profile deals across the retail, transport and healthcare sectors, in addition to regularly supporting mid-market private equity firms, such as Livingbridge. In his new role, Moth will continue to support clients on both a regional and national level, while further developing the firm’s relationships with the private equity community in the North.
Jon Holt, Office Senior Partner at KPMG in Manchester, said: “It has been just over a year since moving into our new home at One St Peter’s Square and the team we are building in the city has grown from strength to strength. These appointments reflect the hard-work, passion and accomplishments of our people in Manchester, but also our commitment to further invest in supporting our clients in the city and across the North West.”
