Joint administrators Howard Smith and Jonny Marston, of KPMG, have completed the sale of Raithwaite Hall and its 100-acre estate to property development firm, Yorkshire Ventures.
Skelwith Leisure (Raithwaite) Limited, which was placed into administration on 22 July 2015, owned and operated Raithwaite Hall, the luxury 80-bedroom hotel located between Sandsend and Whitby, North Yorkshire.
Howard Smith, joint administrator and KPMG Restructuring partner, said: “Raithwaite Hall is a prized asset for the North Yorkshire tourism industry and this deal with Yorkshire Ventures reflects the significant investment opportunity that the hotel and the site have to offer.”
The joint administrators were advised on the transaction by Knight Frank and Bond Dickinson LLP.
