An independent review of housing, conducted by experts, will give the man on the street hope for change.
Jan Crosby, head of housing at KPMG, attended the launch of the Redfern Review this morning and commented:
“The launch today of the Redfern Review could not be more welcome. Housing has become an increasing issue across the country in the past few years, with prices marching ever upwards and a shortage of new homes being built. Our own research shows that the average first time buyer cannot afford the average first time home, a situation that simply isn’t right. An independent review into the situation, conducted by experts with a deep knowledge of the sector, will give the man on the street hope that a step change is on the horizon.”
