Joanna joins KPMG today, from Essex County Council, where she has been the Chief Executive since 2006. In this role, Joanna has delivered major programmes of change, reducing operating costs and delivering improved services.
Before joining Essex County Council, Joanna was the Director of Local Government Performance and Improvement with the Audit Commission. She started her life in the Audit Commission as Lead Housing Inspector delivering a programme of inspection activity in London boroughs.
In her new role Joanna will be the UK market leader for local and regional government at KPMG. She will lead KPMG’s relationships with this important sector, and advise clients on how they can transform their organisations, and work with their customers and citizens in more innovative ways.
