KPMG has appointed Kru Desai to lead its Government & Infrastructure practice.

Kru is a partner and non-executive member of the KPMG UK board, and has previous led the Firm’s Public Sector Consulting and local and regional government practices.  She has worked at KPMG for 15 years in total, having started her career with the firm in 1993, re-joining as a partner in 2010.

The Government & Infrastructure practice works with clients from the public and private sector, helping them provide modern and world class public services and in improving the social and economic infrastructure for the UK.

Commenting on her appointment, Kru says: “We face the most challenging fiscal environment we have ever known at a time when expectations are raised.  Citizens, government, investors and business are searching for better value, transparency and trust in how public services are designed, regulated and delivered.   We are working with our clients to help them adapt to this changing environment by ensuring they’re in the best possible shape to take advantage of the latest technological developments and can access and develop the most relevant skills as they seek to implement sustainable and affordable services.”
