Jim was a member of Diageo’s Executive Committee since its formation in 1997, following the merger of Grand Metropolitan and Guinness. Prior to joining Grand Metropolitan in 1993 Jim spent twelve years in consulting, initially at Booz Allen and Hamilton and subsequently at OC&C Strategy Consultants, where he was a partner and spent most of his time advising consumer goods companies.
Liz Claydon, Head of Consumer Markets at KPMG, said: “I am delighted that Jim is joining the firm. We have been investing significantly in both our consumer and strategy practices over the past few years, which is translating into some fantastic client wins, notably the recent Unilever audit. Our ability to attract someone as experienced and talented as Jim to KPMG demonstrates both our success and commitment to the consumer goods sector.
“The over-riding challenge for all of our clients is how they can deliver profitable growth in a sustainable way, whilst adapting to the ever more complex market they are operating in. Jim’s extensive and broad experience with one of the world’s leading global consumer goods companies will be invaluable to our clients as they seek to deliver superior performance.”
Jim Grover, Senior Adviser in KPMG’s Consumer Markets team, said: “These are exciting times for consumer goods companies with both attractive opportunities to be seized, as well as challenges to be wrestled with. KPMG has ambitious growth plans, building on its current success and momentum, and a prestigious portfolio of consumer sector clients; I very much look forward to working with Liz and the team and growing the business by continuing to provide invaluable advice and support to KPMG’s clients.
