Will Wright, Andy McGill and Mark Orton of KPMG, joint administrators of Thomson Aero. Limited, announced today that they have sold the business to MB Aerospace Limited.
MB Aerospace, an international aerospace engineering group, has acquired the majority of the business assets of Thomson Aero. All 60 staff at the Thomson Aero manufacturing facility in Wallbridge, Frome will transfer to MB Aerospace. No redundancies have been made by the joint administrators.
Andy McGill, joint administrator at KPMG, said: “Thomson Aero attracted strong interest from a number of potential buyers in the aerospace/manufacturing sectors and we are delighted to have completed the sale. Not only does this safeguard the future of the company’s highly skilled work force but it now provides the business with a sound financial footing and excellent prospects for the future. The sale will also ensure a positive outcome for the company’s creditors.”
