Finance (No. 2) Bill 2017 (the Bill) went through Report Stage and had its Third Reading on 31 October 2017. The Bill has now entered the House of Lords, having its First Reading on 1 November, and with 15 November announced as the date in which the remaining debates and stages will take place. However, while the Bill must now go through the House of Lords and receive Royal Assent, in practice these stages are a formality as the House of Lords cannot amend a Money Bill. The Bill is therefore now considered to be substantively enacted as of 31 October 2017, with full enactment to take place when Royal Assent is received. The date of Royal Assent has yet to be confirmed.

The progress of the Bill and the updated text as presented to the House of Lords can be found on the Parliament site.
