Our dedicated Autumn Statement webpage is now live, and you can also register for our webinars.
The Autumn Statement is due to take place on Wednesday 23 November 2016, and will be the first we receive from new Chancellor of the Exchequer Phillip Hammond. It may also be the last – recent press reports suggest that he is considering returning future Autumn Statements to being primarily fiscal forecasting events, with tax and spending announcements confined to the annual Budget. For now, however, Autumn Statement 2016 will go ahead as planned, and will be the first real opportunity to set out the Government’s tax and spending plans amid the ongoing uncertainty of Brexit.
To help you keep on top of the expected tax and policy developments, our dedicated Autumn Statement 2016 webpage is now live. All of our coverage throughout the day and in the days that follow will be posted here.
We will also be running two webinars on Thursday 24 November, covering the key measures from the previous day's Autumn Statement. The first, taking place at 9am, will focus on the impact for businesses, individuals and employers. The second, on pensions and employment tax, will take place at 10.30am.
You can register now for both webinars.
