A round up of other news this week.
On 8 September the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Responsible Tax launched an “Inquiry into public confidence in HMRC’s capability to collect tax fairly and effectively”. This consultation is the second workstream of the APPG and looks at levels of public confidence and trust in the capability of HMRC to collect tax fairly and effectively, including customer service experience and how HMRC fights tax avoidance and evasion. The consultation closes on 23 December 2016.
HM Treasury have published a consultation on a new tax relief for museums and galleries from April 2017, available on qualifying costs of both temporary and touring exhibitions. Comments are due by 29 October 2016.
