Americas – KPMG International have published their 2016 Americas Indirect Tax Country Guide, a summary of the indirect tax regimes of 29 countries in the Americas region.

Asia Pacific

India – The 2016 Budget has been presented

Hong Kong – The 2015-16 Budget has been delivered.  

New Zealand – KPMG in New Zealand have set out the implications of Australia’s proposed GST for remote services.

New Zealand – A recent court decision on taxpayer residence may be of interest to expatriates. 

Indonesia – Regulations have been published to implement revised policy on ‘strategic goods’ exempt from VAT.
