Edward Troup has been appointed as Executive Chair and First Permanent Secretary of HMRC, and Jon Thompson has been appointed as Chief Executive and First Permanent Secretary of HMRC.

Sales of loan portfolios by deleveraging banks in Europe reached a record €104 billion last year, with the UK accounting for more than one-third of the total, according to new research from KPMG in the UK.

In 2015 the UK online alternative finance sector grew 84 percent, facilitating £3.2 billion in investments, loans and donations, according to a joint report published by the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance at the University of Cambridge and UK innovation foundation Nesta, in partnership with KPMG in the UK and with the support of CME Group Foundation.
