KPMG in the UK has acquired the assets of the strategic management and commercial consultancy arms of High-Point Rendel Ltd, the international project consultancy firm. High-Point Rendel Ltd provides specialist commercial, contractual and project management services, to help clients deliver large scale global infrastructure projects, principally in the energy, transport and civil infrastructure sectors.
The High-Point Rendel team has more than 40 years’ experience advising on some of the world’s largest and most high-profile projects, helping businesses to plan and avoid costly delays and over-runs. This acquisition will mark a step-change for KPMG both in the UK and globally, enabling us to advise clients at every stage of their megaproject, from initial planning to final delivery.
High-Point Rendel will join KPMG's existing Major Projects Advisory team with the wider infrastructure advisory practice, with member firm specialists operating in 110 countries and advising clients at every stage of the infrastructure lifecycle.
The KPMG-HPR practice will be led by current HPR CEO Kelvin Hingley (as Chairman of KPMG–HPR) and Managing Director Nigel Bell. Sir Alan Cockshaw, previous chairman of HPR, will continue as an advisor to KPMG.
