Mark is a specialist practitioner in joint venture structures and operations, having spent the last five years leading Qatar Petroleum’s joint venture initiatives in the energy and services sector. Mark’s primary remit included the set-up, restructuring and management of numerous joint ventures, with a number of illustrious partners, including GE and Weatherford International.
He was also a key contributor to partner renegotiations and the implementation of industry leading joint venture governance and risk management practices for a broad cross section of Qatar Petroleum's legacy international partnerships In addition to his joint venture operating experience,
Mark developed his transaction capabilities during a ten year period in financial advisory services at KPMG London. This period not only provided him with diverse sector coverage, but also gave him a detailed understanding of joint venture transacting across cultural barriers.
Mark re-joined KPMG UK in late 2014 to Head the Global Joint Venture Advisory Practice for Emerging Markets. Key sector knowledge includes consumer goods, energy services, insurance, infrastructure, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals and private equity.
