Alwin Magimay is helping KPMG establish market leadership in Digital and Analytics. He works with our clients create value from digital disruption by helping them architect business strategies to create new business outcomes using capabilities such as, customer experience, social, mobile, agility, innovation, collaboration and trust. In addition, Alwin drives our UK innovation agenda and is establishing the UK’s first agile innovation studio where multinationals will collaborate with start-ups in a curated and facilitated way. Prior to KPMG, Alwin helped Deloitte establish Deloitte Digital, architecting and building a new set of digital and analytics capabilities to help clients deal with and drive value from the digital disruptive forces of mobile, cloud, social media, analytics and cyber security. Prior to Deloitte, Alwin was the Managing Director of Accenture’s Media and Entertainment business in Asia Pacific. Alwin had begun his career in Accenture with the Singapore office in 1991 where he was one the founding members of their Media and Entertainment practice. In 1993, he was transferred to London where he continued to lead a number of high-profile business transformation initiatives including the Pan-European launch of a new gaming platform, the building of a new distribution business for a FTSE-250 organisation and the digitalisation of a global music major. In 2006 Alwin returned to Singapore where he continued to pioneer Accenture’s thinking in the area of digital monetisation and driving value from content. Client successes include helping a large Telco design, build and launch a concept for a mobile App Store; helping a large Media company create a new ad-based revenue stream from a multi-device Internet TV proposition, helping a Pay-TV provider drive value from a behavioural and targeted segment based analytics platform, helping a large UK retailer become more mobile, implementing a digital learning platform being used in over 200 schools and creating a new digital organisation for a FTSE listed organisation. In 2013, Alwin architected and launched a new advanced analytics institute in conjunction with Imperial College London to drive new business insights and value from big-data. In addition, Alwin is a Non-Exec Board Member of the Institute of Data Science and a member of the Smart London Board (to advise the Mayor on how London can put digital at the heart of making the capital an better place to live, work and invest). Alwin has a first class honours degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Queen’s University. He spends most of his non-working time with family and loves to travel exploring new places and experiencing new adventures.
