Richard is a Director who advises both trustees of Scheme Actuaries and companies on their defined benefit pension schemes.
Richard has been with KPMG for eight years. He primarily advises trustees and companies on their defined benefit schemes, with assets totalling circa £4 billion. He acts across a range of sectors, with expertise in financial services, retail and manufacturing.
Richard is a qualified pension Scheme Actuary, with a statutory appointment to a range of schemes with assets up to £200 million.
He also advises companies on their pensions strategy, including strategic planning, benefit change, statutory disclosures, capital requirements and corporate transactions. He has also advised several clients based in the Republic of Ireland.
Richard started his career at Mercer, where he qualified as an actuary, working in their Belfast and Manchester offices.
