John Hughes

John is now a Markets Partner focusing on a combination of large Private Equity businesses. John is also a Partner in our Deal Advisory practice and heads up our region. He has until recently been on KPMG’s Global Learning and Development team and with over 25 years’ experience, John’s industry climb included Solvay, Swiss Air and Ineos. Some of the major retail clients/deals John has worked on include Pets at Home, Homestyle, OTTO, Shop Direct, N Brown, M & M, Focus, Findel, Laterooms, TB. John’s Financial Services clients/deals include Lovell, Arrow, Harrington Books, Fairpoint, Call Credit, GB Group, ITIS Chemical. Finally, some of John’s oil and energy clients/deals include Solvay, Ineos, Bifold, Clarke Energy and Vikings. John also moved to Australia where he was seconded to Thorn, Barclaycard and several other private businesses. As well as this secondment, John spent 18 months working in Switzerland with Swiss Air. John particularly enjoys mentoring and working with start-up businesses.
