KPMG in the UK
Janine joined KPMG in 1984 and has worked with financial services clients throughout her career, predominantly in the insurance sector. Since 2000, she has led advice on UK prudential regulation and Solvency II, both areas where she is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading specialists. She is also Chairwoman of the ICAEW Solvency II committee. Her role has now developed further to encompass other areas of European insurance regulation, as well as global initiatives such as the IAIS development of an insurance capital standard. Janine has worked with insurers on a range of projects, advising on practical solutions to regulatory challenges faced, including (but not limited to) Solvency II implementation. She advises insurance groups on structuring and group supervisory requirements. She is regularly contacted by clients for ad hoc advice on a number of areas, advising on both the interpretation, and practical implementation, of detailed regulatory requirements. Janine leads KPMG’s technical analysis on Solvency II and is a major contributor to KPMG’s Solvency II thought leadership.
