Tony Gilbert

Tony heads the Executive & Strategic Reward practice for KPMG in the UK.

Tony has worked extensively both on the corporate and consulting side. He worked for Asda during its turnaround in the 90s in a variety of roles, including stores, trading, finance and HR. He then spent 13 years in consulting, first at Watson Wyatt LLP, where he was a partner leading the Human Capital service line for the North, followed by Hay Group, where he was a Director.

Most recently, prior to joining KPMG Tony worked at Mothercare, where he was latterly the interim Group People Director, sitting on the Executive Committee with full responsibility for the HR function.

Tony has worked in the field of executive reward and strategic reward for 20 years. He has extensive experience of advising both remuneration committees and senior management across all areas, including make up of overall remuneration package, short and long-term incentive design, shareholder consultation, corporate governance, remuneration reporting and implementation.

He has advised across multiple sectors  and across different ownership models.
