Richard leads the Deal Advisory and Market Intelligence side of KPMG’s Banking Brexit team and takes a leading role in briefing the firm’s banking clients on Brexit-related issues and market developments.
The Banking Brexit team works with banks of all sizes across Europe as well as industry groups, regulators and Central Banks and has been engaged in briefings from the boardroom down to the coalface of internal audit.
Richard joined KPMG in 2015 having previously worked at The Royal Bank of Scotland Plc for 12 years, where Richard specialised in “non-core” disposals within the Bank’s Non-Core and Capital Resolution Divisions as part of the Non-Core management team.
Richard’s career started as a private practice lawyer in New Zealand specialising in commercial property then moving to London in 1999 and spending 3 years at Allen & Overy as a capital markets lawyer before he moved to RBS where he specialised in structured credit products prior to the Global Financial Crisis.
