"KPMG Laboratory" in Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman is a modern solution for efficient unification efforts of education, science and business through various activities (both at classroom and online).
"KPMG Laboratory" is open lectures, workshops and master classes by leading economic experts and consultants-KPMG practitioners, business games to address cases in economics, finance, accounting and auditing, tax and legal consulting.
Creation of an educational center will facilitate the combination of theoretical knowledge and research resources of KPMG practical skills – which are essential ingredients of successful training of future competitive professionals.
Target Audience of "KPMG Laboratory" in KNEU:
1) students, post-graduates and young professionals,
2) teachers of universities and research institutes.
Solemn opening of "KPMG Laboratory" in KNEU was held on 17 October and included several events. Originally KNEU and other Ukrainian universities teachers were presented how to use "KPMG Laboratory" in KNEU when training future professionals. During the second presentation for students there was held an interactive dialogue on global trends of business and state development.
Opening the "KPMG Laboratory", Dmitry Aleev, Partner of KPMG in Ukraine, said: "KPMG in Ukraine has been working since 1992. We understand how business operates in Ukraine, in addition, we have vast experience in 155 countries, which we are ready to share. This lab is the result of continued cooperation of KPMG in Ukraine with KNEU. We are very pleased that together we could fulfill this idea into practice".
"Innovative KPMG Laboratory is a new form of getting knowledge by students through master classes with practitioners, methodological support of KPMG at world level, exchange of important business processes, advice on competencies. Also KNEU jointly with KPMG implements important social projects. Therefore, lectures, master classes, workshops and extracurricular work – this is the strategy of modern research university. "KPMG Laboratory" will strengthen and deepen the development of such innovative forms of work", – stressed the integrated approach Antonjuk Larissa Leontiivna, the director of the Institute of Higher Education at Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, Doctor of Economics, professor of International Economics Department of International Economics and Management.
A special feature of the "KPMG Laboratory" is its occupational guidance. "Today's ambitious and talented students are the future of KPMG. These are the ones with whom we will work tomorrow or in a few years. I believe that the KPMG laboratory will help Kyiv students increase their knowledge, which is really in demand by modern employers" – shared his views Konstantin Karpushin, director of tax and legal consulting at KPMG in Ukraine. Best project participants of “KPMG Laboratory” will receive an invitation for open positions at KPMG in Ukraine.
