On 16 March KPMG in Ukraine continued its series of industry seminars with a tax seminar for pharmaceutical companies.
Our colleagues from Tax & Legal were speaking at the event: Sergey Popov, Partner, Tatiana Zamorska, Director, Yuliya Nogovitsyna, Senior Manager, and Andriy Reun, Manager. In the presentations they highlighted in detail the tax and legal specifics of different forms of doing business in the pharmaceutical sector.
The event was attended by 20 representatives of Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies, including the heads of representative offices, CFOs and chief accountants.
Based on the results of a survey of participants, the topic “Selection of the optimal form for running a pharmaceutical business in Ukraine” was most popular. In general the guests were extremely pleased about the event: Viktoria Lysenko, senior accountant at Pfizer in Ukraine, said: “Thank you so much for organizing the event in such a professional manner and for the significant volume of information that you provided.”
Yuliya Nogovitsyna commented: “In my opinion, the seminar was a success, inter alia thanks to the active involvement of the audience and challenging questions raised during the discussion. We want to continue delivering a series of tax seminars for the pharmaceutical business, as this sector of the economy is one of the most dynamic and complex areas from the perspective of statutory regulation.”
