The KPMG alley unveiled in Kyiv

We invite you to walk the KPMG Alley in Mariinsky Park near the Puppet Theatre, which was created by the staff of KPMG in Ukraine. In April 2011 we gathered in the Mariinsky Park in downtown Kyiv to plant trees in the context of KPMG’s Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability programme.   Mr. Yvo de Boer, Special KPMG Global Advisor on Climate Change and Sustainability, and former United Nations Executive Secretary on Climate Change attended the event as a special guest. He took part in planting trees and unveiled The KPMG Alley together with Floris Schuring, Managing Partner of KPMG in Ukraine and Andrew Cranston, Senior Partner, Russia and the CIS.   By a joint effort we planted 50 firtrees. Our pledge was registered on the website of the UNEP Billion Tree Campaign. In the network of the Billion Tree Campaign, people, communities, organizations, business and industry, civil society and governments are being encouraged to plant trees and enter their tree planting pledges on this web site. The objective is to plant at least one billion trees worldwide each year.   We are proud of our little contribution to the climate welfare.
