On 19 May 2011 a seminar “Effective Fraud Counteraction in the Company” was held in Kyiv. It was organized professionals from Risk & Compliance jointly with the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
The following KPMG professionals spoke at the seminar: Natalia Golovchenko, Nadezhda Leonova, Alexey Tyakin and Alexander Tarasenko.
The seminar discussed such topics as the main services offered by KPMG Forensic, fraud and financial investigations methodology and practice and the software tools that can be used, the issue of compliance with the requirements of the FCPA and UK Bribery Act and practical examples of comprehensive automated fraud counteraction.
The seminar's participants included the representatives of more than 50 Ukrainian and international companies, such as the Industrial Union of Donbass, Sandora-PepsiCo, Zaporizhstal, Metinvest, Shell, Air Astana, Allianz Ukraine, Carlsberg, Marti and others.
The topic of the seminar proved extremely relevant and evoked considerable interest from the participants.
According to the latest KPMG research ‘Beyond box-ticking: a new era for risk governance’, 43% of respondents consider automating the process of risk management to be a priority for their company in the next 12 months. Among other trends were indicated the implementation of formalized risk processes (53%); re-training of risk professionals (45%); training of non-risk professionals in risk (37%); recruitment of risk professionals (24%).
