Sergey Popov, Partner and Head of Tax and Legal KPMG in Ukraine, attended KPMG's 2014 Global Indirect Tax Forum which was held 23-25 June 2014 in Amsterdam.
KPMG’s Global Indirect Tax Forum brought together a range of experts and tax professionals to debate the main questions of indirect tax and their practical implications. Moderated by professional broadcaster and business journalist, Matt Cooper, the Forum began by exploring the megatrends that are colliding with our world. Experts shared their views on the global economic and political landscape, and discussed how legislators, regulators and tax authorities are behaving in a post-crisis world.
This two-day program comprised a blend of plenary and breakout sessions, focused on a range of global issues including technical developments. The Forum also included industry roundtables, technology forums and the chance to have one to one discussions with colleagues and senior KPMG professionals, in key areas of indirect tax.
The Forum was well attended by KPMG specialists and industry representatives from the whole world. Sergey Popov managed to share his views on the current trends and problems of tax legislation in Ukraine, as well as learn more about the key global indirect tax trends.
