Mr. Jih often advise local and foreign companies on corporate investment, intellectual properties, labor law, antitrust, corporate governance and general corporate matters. Mr. Jih used to work at Jones Day and Chung-shan Institute of Science and Technology where he handled various high-tech and government legal issues in litigation, arbitration, and civil reconciliation settings.

Mr. Jih can practice in Chinese, English, Japanese and Taiwanese and therefore participated various mega deals, involving Europe, America, Japan and Taiwan, and was highly praised for his excellent handling and coordinating skills. Mr. Jih also advise local and foreign financial institutions on regulatory compliance, asset management, derivatives and credit facilities.

Mr. Jih participated in consummating the first share swap deal between a Taiwan listed company and a foreign listed company and advised various companies in takeover battles. Mr. Jih also advised on significant government sponsored research projects for legal reform on commercial laws, including Company Law, Enterprise Merger & Acquisition Law, Financial Asset Securitization Law and various other laws and regulations.

  • Alan’s practice encompasses a wide range of corporate, banking, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and litigation. He has extensive experience advising local and foreign companies on corporate finance, intellectual property, labor and employment, antitrust, and corporate governance. He also provides advice to local and foreign banks on asset management, financial derivatives, commercial credit facilities, and regulatory compliance.
  • Alan can practice in Chinese, English, Japanese and Taiwanese and therefore participated several mega deals involving U.S., Europe, Japan and Taiwan parties where his ability to coordinate lawyers, intermediaries and corporations in various different jurisdictions is highly appreciated by clients.
  • Alan previously served as a judge advocate at the Chung-shen Institute of Science and Technology where he handled various high-tech and government legal issues in litigation, arbitration, and civil reconciliation settings. Prior to joining KPMG, Alan was an attorney in Jones Day where he grew substantial experience advising clients in a variety of cross-border transactions including foreign investment approvals, nonperforming loan acquisitions, mergers and acquisitions, and other general corporate issues. Alan participated in consummating the first share swap deal between a Taiwan listed company and a foreign public company and advised various companies in takeover battles.
