KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice (DPP) proactively provides assistance to companies regarding the application of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), draft IFRSs (exposure drafts) issued by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and commenting on the possible impacts of these standards on related industries. During our professional support service provided, our priority is to increase the quality and efficiency of the companies’ financial reporting processes and accordingly accelerate the strategic decision making processes. Our most important mission is assisting companies to get prepared for the forthcoming requirements of new accounting treatments and providing technical assistance on the application of these accounting requirements. DPP is also part of KPMG’s worldwide International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) network including KPMG ELLP and has direct access to KPMG’s global IFRS knowledge and resource centre, known as the International Financial Reporting Group (IFR Group).
