“Bakış” will be published every three months and provide information on main macroeconomic indicators in Turkish and global economy, along with brief commentary. The topic of the first issue of Bakış is “Macro Trends in Turkish and Global Economy in 2016”.
2015 was a year of many surprises and uncertainties for the world economy. According to Bakış, in 2016, Turkey will be negatively affected both by global trends, because of the slowdown in the recovery of emerging economies, and by regional trends, because of the political crises in neighboring countries.
It is estimated that 2016 will not be different then the year before. In 2016, both developed and emerging economies are expected to grow at a faster rate and this is expected to be the most important external influence on Turkey.
