HR Generalist

major professional services firm would be desirable.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop knowledge of HR policy and practice so that incoming work can be processed and queries resolved at the first point of contact, keeping up to date with any legislative, policy or process changes; 
  • Take full ownership of your work,  and ensuring that error rates are kept to a minimum; 
  • Responsible for inputting and updating information onto the Firm’s  HR system, ensuring all relevant fields are accurately completed in line with relevant payroll deadlines and employee expectations; 
  • In addition to your designated HR role you will be expected to take on additional responsibilities for project work and processes that fall outside of the key role; 
  • Manage employment, extension and/or termination processes for employee; 
  • Being the principal contact with employees on day to day  matters and working with, Co-ordinate Internal, External Virtual Classroom and e-Learning type courses – ensure that all the course information relevant to each training is obtained, so that the course can be set up effectively on the KPMG GLMS and release to the appropriate delegate populations 
  • Maintain the training catalogue, ensuring all training data is maintained effectively on the GLMS, 
  • Manage the registrations and cancellations – close monitoring of course numbers, advising Head of HR of course registration statuses, and alerting where there are high or low number on individual dates. Ensuring that cancellation policies are applied consistently and that delegate cancellations are followed up where necessary; 
  • Draft professional and articulate communications to atendees;

QUALIFICATIONS and skills

  • Bachelor degree 
  • Fluent in English 
  • Have an ability to build relationships 
  • High levels of resilience, 
  • Effectively work with minimal supervision;
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail;
  • Be an excellent communicator – written and verbal;
  • Have strong organisational, literacy and numeracy skills; 
  • Have a good degree of IT proficiency, including; Microsoft Excel
