At the Siberia Winter Kitesurfing Cup, which ended recently, Andrei Balyakin, Manager, ITS, KPMG in St. Petersburg, came second overall.
There are two types of kitesurfing – winter and summer: in winter the competitions are held on ice or on snow and in summer on water. Andrey specialize in winter kitesurfing, or to be more precise kiteracing, or winter races.
His best performance so far was to win the bronze at last year’s World Championship in Finland. The tournament was held in extremely complicated weather conditions and Andrey had not all the necessary equipment; however he competed with others participants for high places.
This year Andrei has started racing “under the KPMG flag”: the firm has helped him acquire equipment, while Andrei has placed our logo on his kites.
We wish you success and look forward to hearing about new victories!
