Anton Zykov joined KPMG in 2008. Currently his primary focus at KPMG is tax dispute resolution, which has been his core area of expertise since the start of his career. He has more than 10 years of experience of litigating against the tax authorities, currency control and other state authorities. He has been the principal tax litigation lawyer in more than 60 disputes. Anton also advises clients on transactions where the tax treatment is ambiguous and the provisions of tax law that are controversial have been applied. In addition to his work as an attorney, Anton has testified as an expert witness on issues of Russian law before the LCIA tribunal and has experience of preparing expert opinions for litigation and arbitration proceedings. He has represented companies from a number of industries, including oil & gas, construction & construction materials, professional services, agriculture, the food industry, real estate, financial services, industrial & consumer equipment. Anton has also overseen recently tax dispute resolution engagements for a number of large Russian and multinational companies.
