According to the information published by the Council of the European Union, on 2 October 2015, EU finance ministers agreed to introduce new provisions for the automatic exchange of information on cross-border tax rulings, this being the latest development concerning the European Commission’s initiative to address tax avoidance and harmful tax competition.
