Regulatory audit

Keeping abreast of latest regulatory changes and best practices in the banking, funds and insurance industries.

latest regulatory changes and best practices.

Many organisations are obliged to obtain independent verification of financial and other information reported to regulators. Others voluntarily seek independent verification to avoid factual errors and the risk of non-compliance.

Regulatory audits include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Basel II Prudential Return reviews which aim to ensure capital allocation is more risk sensitive, separating operational risk from credit risk, quantifying both and attempting to align economic and regulatory capital more closely.
  • Regulatory compliance audit and reviews which aim to provide assurance in respect of compliance with regulatory requirements and statutory reporting for regulated entities. Our audit deliverable is a declaration report in accordance with the relevant Orders under the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998 (the ‘Law’) for entities regulated in the conduct of Fund Services Business, Trust Companies Business, Investment Business or General Insurance Mediation Business.

Through the regular training delivered to our staff and our involvement in a number of industry events and various industry and regulatory bodies, we keep abreast of latest regulatory changes and best practices in the banking, funds and insurance industries.
