Neale became CI Managing Director on 1st October 2015. He has led KPMG's Audit practice in the Channel Islands since October 2013. He has worked both onshore and offshore, having moved back to Guernsey from the UK firm’s London Financial Services Team in 2003. He has clients across most alternative sectors, including private equity, infrastructure, hedge funds, debt funds, fund of funds and more esoteric asset classes.
Neale is a member of KPMG's EMEA Leadership team for Investment Management and was a member of KPMG’s Global Leadership Team for Investment Management and chair of KPMG's Global Fund Centres group, which meant being responsible for co-ordinating KPMG initiatives in the world's largest fund domiciles between 2010 and 2013 and remains well connected globally within this network.
He went on to lead KPMG’s Global response to Level 1 of the EU’s AIFM Directive before turning his attention to leading the response of Guernsey. He is familiar with the evolution of the current third country position and in particular the impact of the directive on the private equity industry. He led the Industry Working Party that conceived and developed Guernsey’s AIFMD dual regime during 2012 and 2013. Neale was the chair of the Technical Committee of the Guernsey Investment Fund Association between 2008 and 2013.
