The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management has announced the competitions for funding for projects promoting energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment – measure 1.2 Promotion of the energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources.

The call for proposals for funding will be conducted from 30th June to 31st August.

Who can apply?

The support will be available for large companies.

Subject of the grant

Grants will be awarded for projects that involve the application of solutions that contribute to optimizing the use of energy and increase energy efficiency, including the use of renewable energy sources. Support is foreseen for:

  • reconstruction or replacement of equipment, technological and energy installations, lighting of buildings, production halls and the applicant’s premises, as well as the flow of media traffic and production lines resulting in savings,
  • automation and monitoring of energy utilities,
  • extensive, comprehensive modernization of the energy performance of buildings,
  • modernization/replacement of local heat sources for more energy efficient,
  • the use of heat waste energy from industrial installations,
  • RES investments, which will be used to meet the demand for heat or for heat and electricity.

The rate of financial support

Support will be granted in the form of a loan up to 70 per cent of eligible costs. The interest rate of the loan is WIBOR 3M-200 basis points (not less than 2 per cent). There is a possibility of partial redemption of the loan – from 5 to 15 per cent.

The budget of the competition is PLN 500 million.


The introduction of intelligent management systems is an integral part of each project. Support may be granted only for projects resulting from an energy audit of the company.
