The meeting concerns the risk mapping process

During the event, KPMG experts will present the process of preparing risk map and will also discuss relevant practical examples. The meeting will take place on 31 May 2016 in Warsaw, from 15:30 to 19:00.
Pursuant to the requirements of the Act on Certified Auditors and their Self-Governance, Audit Firms authorized to Audit Financial Statements and Public Oversight, an entity’s Audit Committee is charged with monitoring of the effectiveness of its risk management process. One of the questions which Audit Committees should ask their Management Boards is whether an appropriate risk map has been developed and whether this map is subject to reassessment on a regular basis.
Our experts will discuss the Audit Committee‘s role in this process, the core elements of a risk map and its place within the overall risk management process. We will also cover the number of risks to be placed on the map, the amount of attention each of the risks requires, the metrics used to assess the Board’s success in terms of risk mapping and how the risks on the map are related to those identified during the financial statements audit and included in the auditor’s new extended opinion.
