KICC is a true business challenge you can face and assess your skills.

KPMG International Case Competition is a flagship program for university students and graduates from all over the world who are interested in a career with in the advisory services industry. This unique project allows teams of four to evaluate their skills and tackle the business challenges faced by KPMG employees in their daily work.

The team best at solving business cases – and the winner of the domestic tournament – will compete against top teams from all over the world!

Competition content

In both domestic and international phases alike, participants solve case studies by developing solutions they consider correct. Team presentations are evaluated by KPMG experts.

Who can take part in the competition?

The competition is open to bachelor and master’s students. The field, year, and format (intramural, extramural) of studies are not important. Interest in business, analytical skills, a talent for presenting solutions and a good command of English are what counts. Nearly 500 candidates apply each year.

Competition final format

On day one, once the official competition registration procedure closes, all students attend extensive integration activities. Days two and three are spent on hard teamwork to solve two case studies. Students role-play as KPMG advisors presenting to clients (played by the KPMG jury) with their recommendations concerning the challenges they have been set. Following these presentations, the jury selects the three top teams who compete against each other in the final on the last day of the event.

When to apply

Domestic competition registration usually opens at the beginning of each academic year. Depending on the number of applications, subsequent stages are held in late December/ early January.

Finally, following two case study sessions, three teams are selected for the final.
