As you are aware, the “check the box” requirement on the preparation of transfer pricing (“TP”) documentation has already been implemented since Year of Assessment 2014. Good knowledge on the latest TP developments and updates are of paramount importance to all taxpayers affected by this requirement.
There is now added complexity with the finalization of the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (“BEPS”) Action Plans 8 – 10 and 13. The BEPS Action Plans 8 – 10 focuses on aligning TP outcomes with value creation whilst Action Plan 13 provides new guidance on preparation of TP documentation with the inclusion of the master file, local file and country-by-country reporting.
