KPMG R.G. Manabat & Co. (KPMG RGM&Co.), the member firm of KPMG International, hosted a round table discussion on Cybersecurity and Data Privacy led by Advisory Partner Nini Balde on 30 March 2017 at the KPMG Center in Makati City.
With over 30 information technology, information security, data privacy, compliance, legal and risk professionals from different organizations in attendance, the roundtable discussion featured KPMG Singapor Cybersecurity Principal Luke Forsyth and University of the Philippines Internet and Society Program Founder and Director Atty. Jesus Jose “JJ” M. Disini, Jr. as speakers, and moderated by KPMG RGM&Co. Advisory Director, Jallain Manrique.
The discussion tackled the latest cyber threats and its mitigation, and provided insights on Data Privacy Law compliance. “Cybersecurity is often a subject for oversight. Thus, only a few organizations have the capability to anticipate cyber threats and implement preventative strategies. More so, this discussion is our means of imparting knowledge on how to effectively combat cyber threats and data privacy issues which may put organizations’
client relationships to risk,” shares KPMG R.G. Manabat & Co. Advisory Partner Nini Balde.
