KPMG is pleased to launch our new quarterly seminar series for tax professionals. The Tax Horizon series aims to stimulate debate on topical tax issues.
Our 22 February seminar focussed on Inland Revenue’s Business Transformation programme. This $1b+ project is a signficant commitment for Government. It will have wide ranging implications for the future of the NZ tax administration and tax policy and how business and advisers interact with the system.
At the same time, the pace of technology means that the need for transformation will not necessarily be limited to Inland Revenue. Many businesses are wondering what it will mean for them.
The slides from presentations by a panel comprising Naomi Ferguson (Commissioner of Inland Revenue), John Payne (Head of Tax, New Zealand Superannuation Fund) and KPMG Tax Partners Rebecca Armour and Darshana Elwela can be accessed below.
