Kay Baldock

Kay is a financial services audit partner and Head of Financial Services for KPMG New Zealand. Kay has twenty-two years' experience in auditing, and has for the last nineteen years focused primarily on Financial Services both here and overseas. Prior to joining the New Zealand firm, Kay worked for KPMG in Bermuda, her clients ranging from single parent captives through to a NYSE listed reinsurer. Since joining the New Zealand Firm, Kay has worked alongside Insurance, Wealth, and Banking clients. Kay believes the Financial Services Sector has a pivotal role to play in ensuring the smooth functioning and growth of the New Zealand economy. Kay brings an international and pragmatic approach to working through challenges and opportunities having worked both on and off-shore – Scotland, Bermuda, and NZ, leading multi-disciplinary global teams. During the period January 2014 to November 2016, Kay was Head of Insurance for KPMG New Zealand, and from November 2016 Kay assumed a National role as Financial Services Sector Leader. Her role as Financial Services Sector Leader provides her with insights into the issues, challenges and opportunities currently being faced across the Financial Services Sector.
