KPMG's Nordic SSOA Pulse Survey 2016

KPMG's Nordic SSOA Pulse Survey 2016

The third edition of the Nordic Shared Services and Outsourcing Pulse Survey combines the global learnings from the long established Global Pulse Survey with a deeper understanding of the Nordic region. The insights are based on input from both KPMGs Nordic SSO experts and Nordic executives from selected outsourcing service providers such as Accenture, Capgemini and Tata Consultancy services, among others.

Four Key Issues

This year's Nordic Shared Services and Outsourcing Pulse Survey identifies four key issues that are elaborated and where KPMG's point of view provides deeper insight:

  • Operating model is a critical success factor for obtaining cost optimization and improvements.
  • Talent shortages and challenges with talent management faces many organizations.
  • The use of innovative technology such as cloud, data and analytics, mobility and process automation presents new opportunities.
  • Procurement is ranked as one of top three functional areas for service delivery improvements and cost reductions.

KPMG's Global Business Services event

Another important Nordic SSO initiative is the annual Global Business Services event. Last year's event in Stockholm brought together clients and targets and profiled key note speakers such as Ann-Christin Spone, Head of Strategy and Transformation in Statoil, Steven Poole from GE, Kent Abrahamsson from the Volvo Group, Adrian Baldwin from GlaxoSmithKline and Karine Brunet from Vodafone.

This year's event in Copenhagen will take place in the fall and is in full planning. The video from the Stockholm event in 2015 can give you an indication what the GBS event is all about.
