Bernard Wientjes

Bernard Wientjes (1943) is chair of the supervisory board since September 2023. This is his second time, having previously served as chair between 2015 and 2021.

Wientjes has years of experience in governance and the public sector, including as chair of employers' organization VNO-NCW. He also spent three decades as an entrepreneur in his family business, Wientjes Beheer bv, with Ucosan (producer of plastic sanitary ware) as its largest operating company. In addition, he was a member of the board of management of Villeroy & Boch.

He is currently a member of the Nederlandse Sportraad (Dutch Sports Council), a member of the advisory board of the Dordrecht Museum and chair of the supervisory board of Stichting Petje Af. He is also Emeritus Professor of Entrepreneurship and Leadership at Utrecht University.
