KPMG Internship Programs


The Objective of the KPMG Internship program is to provide challenging opportunities for talented undergraduate and graduate students from local & international institutions to gain practical insights into the operational environment of KPMG as a service firm.

The Program is designed to provide an enriching experience characterised by measurable on-the-job training, designed to help you succeed in your division. It is an avenue to develop leadership traits in young individuals and assist them in realising their potentials. You'll work on client projects, develop technical skills and experience our vibrant culture. We’ll ensure you have adequate responsibilities, opportunities and support to push yourself. We aspire to build a long term relationship between KPMG and the interns for potential full-time employment in the future.

Our Interns are assigned to our Practice and non- Practice divisions based on their areas of interest and availability of these unit. They work with our seasoned experienced professionals across various units and divisions.

The Undergraduate Internship program is for candidates currently pursuing a university degree. The prospective candidate must have completed at least the second year of university but must NOT be in final year. We invite candidates from all disciplines and courses with an outstanding interim academic record and an interest in the firm's service offerings, across all divisions.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Be below 24 years of age.
  • Possess credit in a minimum of 5 subjects (SSCE/equivalent) including Mathematics and English in two sittings.
  • Have equivalent of second-class upper degree grade in any discipline (CGPA of 3.5/5 or 3/4 for UK and US Schools, respectively).
  • Have completed at least the second year of the university program but must not be in final year.
  • Have strong verbal/oral communication and interpersonal skills; and an ability to work in a team.

This program is open to postgraduate level students across all disciplines, seeking work experience in the interim. We are looking for students within the 1st class or 2.1-degree class with an interest in the firm's service offerings, across all divisions. On this program, you’ll join industry experts developing meaningful solutions for clients, giving you a great head start on your career.

  • Be below 26 years of age.
  • Possess credit in a minimum of 5 subjects (SSCE/equivalent) including Mathematics and English in two sittings.
  • Have a minimum of second-class upper degree grade in any discipline - CGPA Transcript required.
  • Be currently undergoing a Post Graduate degree program (MSc).
  • Have strong verbal/oral communication and interpersonal skills; and an ability to work in a team.

Pre-NYSC Internship


This program is aimed at graduate level students, seeking an interim job, whilst awaiting NYSC deployment. We invite candidates from all disciplines; It provides a mutual and extensive opportunity to assess candidate's capability and cultural fit into the KPMG way as it may eventually be the standard entry path into a more permanent Analyst position within the firm.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Be below 26 years of age.
  • Be a “Pre” NYSC graduate / postgraduate.
  • Have a minimum of 2.1 class of degree
  • Have a minimum of 5 credits in not more than two sittings, including Math and English in O’levels / A’levels.
  • Be available for the program for a minimum of 12 weeks.
  • Candidates must be interested in building a career in consulting.
  • Must have strong verbal/oral communication and interpersonal skills; and an ability to work in a team.

All programs run from June-September, with a minimum duration of 12 weeks. Pre-NYSC Interns may be granted extensions.

No, you do not need to write our Graduate Trainee Aptitude Test. Your eligibility is subject to the following conditions:
You are posted to KPMG by the NYSC.
You meet the KPMG Graduate Trainee minimum requirement.
Availability of vacancy.

icon I have written and failed the KPMG Graduate Trainee Aptitude Test, but currently posted by NYSC, to KPMG, will my recruitment process be reviewed after my service year?

Yes, you will have a second and final opportunity after your NYSC programme to write the test. Usually, after 12 months from the first attempt.

  • Have graduated from the University with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper degree in any discipline.
  • Be below 28 years
  • Must be undergoing NYSC, completed NYSC or provide appropriate documentation on exemption from the National Youth Corp Service.
  • Law graduates must have a minimum of Second-Class Upper degree from the Nigerian Law School.

4. NOT have previously written the KPMG aptitude test in the last 12 months. You can only take the test a second time after 12-months from your last test date.

Yes, you can apply and rewrite Graduate Trainee Programme test. However, you can only do this after 12 months from your first attempt if you still meet the eligibility criteria.
You may also apply for an experienced hire role if you have at least three (3) years relevant post NYSC experience.

You will be advised on your success status in the test within 3 working days. Subsequently, you will be notified of the next process (Assessment Centre) by our recruitment team if you are successful.

The test is administered physically in Lagos state but we may give consideration for a test location in Abuja.

Stage 4: Final round Head of Unit/Division’s interview

We are a performance driven firm; the pace of your growth is dependent on your performance which is typically reviewed every financial year. The process is open and fair.

icon Can I reapply for a role if unsuccessful at the initial one?

The firm encourages you to apply for roles that you are most suitable for and that aligns with your career prospects. However, if referred by an interviewer to another Division/Unit, there is a chance of being reconsidered for the proposed role subject to availability of vacancy.
