KPMG Cyber Challenge

KPMG Cyber Challenge

The KPMG Cyber Challenge is back for the fourth consecutive year, where participants will put their cyber security and innovative thinking skills to the test.

This year, the Challenge scope is revamped to test undergraduates on their ability to develop innovative, real-world business solutions. The Challenge will comprise two separate competitions:

Cyber Technology Challenge

Finals: 28 November 2018
Venue: Connexion Conference @ Nexus, Bangsar South City

There are 4 categories in this Challenge, and each team can only register to compete in one of the four categories. Each university can only submit up to 2 teams for each category.

For each category, a case study / challenge will be developed by KPMG’s Strategic Cyber and Technology Partners.

During the Finals, each team will present their solution to a judging panel comprising industry leaders, thus testing undergraduates’ ability to develop real-world solutions to real-world business issues.

Due to overwhelming response, the registration deadline for Cyber Technology Challenge has been extended to 26th November 2018! Hurry and register your teams now to secure your participation slot!

National Qualifiers: 22 – 28 October 2018 (online)

This red teaming and capture-the-flag exercise will pit teams against each other in a battle of scores as they are tested in reverse engineering, steganography, cryptography, programming, network analysis, infrastructure hacking, web application security, and digital forensics. The cyber challenge may also test abilities of the teams to think in business terms and place teams in real digital fraud scenarios.

All teams will participate in a National Qualifier, where they will compete online. At the end of 7 days, only 15 teams with the highest scores will advance to the Finals, where they will compete against the best team from Thailand for the Overall Champion trophy.
